O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. 2. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD. King James or Authorised Version. Psalm 117 is not only the shortest psalm having only two verses, but it is also the middle chapter in the Bible. The brevity of the psalm does not detract from, but rather, it enhances the beauty and centrality of its message. Note that in the Authorised Version ( as above) the psalmist outlines the merciful kindness and the unending truth of the Lord. How fitting that this psalm ; short in length but long in content should begin and end with Praise to the Lord. His mercy flows on like a river; His love is unmeasured and free, His grace is forever sufficient; It reaches and purifies me. "Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ" John Chapter 1. Verse 17
