The Last Supper
You may not realise it but God has not laid down any rules for how we are to hold Church Services. I have searched the Bible and there are instructions for the Children of Israel (The Jews) when they were told to make a Tabernacle and later the Temple, but nothing to tell us in Wales in 2002. I did find a clear command from the Lord Jesus that He wants us to remember Him, His death on the Cross and His Resurrection, by sharing bread and wine in our Worship and Remembrance Service. This is sometimes called Communion, the Eucharist the Lord’s Table or a Mass, depending on which church you are worshipping in. You can read about the ‘Last Supper’, when Jesus told us how He wanted us to remember Him in the following places in the Bible. Matthew Chapter 26 verses 26-29 Mark Chapter 14 verses 22-25 Luke Chapter 22 verses 19-20 1 Corinthians Chapter 11 verses 23-26.
