“God Who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time passed unto the fathers by the prophets hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son.” (Hebrews Chapter 1. Verses 1-2 Authorised version) In Autumn (Fall) there are billions of leaves that fall. Are any two of them alike? If you can find them let me know. Yet is there a unity in those carpets of leaves you will see today from that woodland path ? There is a marvellous unity. Every part of the universe interlocks and if we disturb the balance it sends a shock through the whole system. The sad thing is that we are denuding the forests of the world at fifty acres per minute at the moment and it is sending a mighty shock through the system. God has a great unity in the variety of ways in which He speaks. Here the shepherd David, there the fisherman Peter, here Ruth, there Queen Esther, all kinds of men and women from all walks of life. But those sixty six books of the Bible have one great unity; they all point to God’s Son. Disintegrate one and you loose them all. Notice the Lord Jesus Christ is God’s last word to this world. Anything that claims to be prophetic but tells of revelation outside of the Word of God is false. Don’t major in your life on so called spiritual experiences, major on God’s declared, written word. It will save you from false cults and will preserve your peace. “ Reach my blest Saviour first, Take Him from God’s esteem, Prove Jesus bears one spot of sin, Then tell me that I’m unclean”.
